Our Approach

Heather Travillian holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University, with specialized experience supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence, as well as children coping with grief, loss, and trauma. Heather's passion lies in working with children and families, utilizing a person-centered approach that emphasizes play, empathy, and connection as vital components for healing. She is dedicated to listening and collaborating with clients to achieve their unique goals.

    A creative therapeutic approach centered on the individuals creative process. This facilitates the exploration of emotions, self expression, and healing.

    An approach that prioritizes safety and trust. We acknowledge the impact of trauma and focus on strengths and resilience while we move towards healing.

Meet our Provider

  • My therapeutic approach is person centered. I use components of play based, art based and creative expression based therapies along with Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused, Emotion Focused, Narrative and holistic approaches. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process that involves connection between the client and therapist. A trusting and safe environment and relationship are essential in the foundation of a healing space. I hope to assist clients in discovering their potential to learn, grow and heal through personal development, new strategies and coping skills in an empowering, compassionate manner.

All of your appointments will take place in my soothing office environment with fully private room. Telehealth appointments are also available.
